TRENCHES UNIVERSITY
The EForce Trenches Academy is anchored by 3 main goals:
Improve Football/Position IQ to know the game inside and out
Improve physical skill set to be the best technician on the field
Support & Mentor OL Athletes through the recruiting process
The Offensive Lineman is the backbone of a successful offense. Come learn everything you need to know to maximize your playing ability, positional IQ and be mentored through the recruiting process.
THE PROGRAM
Trenches Academy is a comprehensive off-season Offensive Line training program for athletes (RISING 9th - 12th grade) looking to improve in all phases of the game. As a member of the Trenches Academy, athletes will work 1x/wk for 8wks through our summer academy system, which includes:
- Fieldwork, chalk talk, film study, recruiting mentorship, and leadership development
- Exclusive Trenches Academy gear: Shirts & Hats
- Work with other Offensive Lineman in a group setting
- Learn line play at the INDIVIDUAL and UNIT level
Paul Kraus - Coach
PLAYING EXPERIENCE: He graduated from La Salle High School (2000) where he was a 2-year letterman and collected Honorable Mention and 2nd Team All-League Honors and was selected as an alternate for the East/West Shrine Game. He walked on at Western Oregon (spring of 2001).
TEAM COACHING EXPERIENCE: Coach Kraus has been the Varsity Offensive Line Coach (OLC) at Central Catholic High School for the past 7 seasons, winning 3 State Championships (2014, 2019, 2021). Now is the Head freshman coach. He has also coached at Clackamas High School where he spent 9 of his 19 seasons coaching, Rex Putnam (1 year), La Salle High School (2 Years), and Portland Luther High School (1 year).
PRIVATE COACHING: Outside of CC Coach Kraus runs private camps, clinics, and training sessions for offensive and defensive linemen.
EDUCATION: Bachelors from PSU in Health and Community Health, Master’s Degree from Grand Canyon University in Education.
Aaron Turner - Coach
PLAYING EXPERIENCE: Former Gresham HS/Western Oregon Offensive Line.
TEAM COACHING EXPERIENCE: 3 years varsity OL/DL coach. Currently coaching at Gresham High School
Onesimus Clarke - Coach
PLAYING EXPERIENCE: 4 Year Letterman at Waianae High School for Football and other sports. 2015 All-State Second Team. 2017 Polynesian All-American, 2016 All-Poly Camp. MVP. 2016 First Team All-State. Played at OSU from 2017-2021. Started since Sophomore year. 2x Semi-Finalists for the Joe Moore Award, handed to the best Offensive Line Unit in the Country. Graduated with a double degree in Education and Communications.
James Andrew - Honorary Head Coach
PLAYING EXPERIENCE: Former Lakeridge HS/Linfield University OL.
TEAM COACHING EXPERIENCE: 5yrs as the Offensive Line Coach at Lakeridge HS. During this time, Lakeridge has had 3 2,000yd running seasons and 20+ Offensive Lineman named to All-League Honors in the Three Rivers League (6A). Along with Lakeridge, Coach James coaches the Oregon FBU Team and All-Star Game.
PRIVATE COACHING: Outside of Lakeridge Coach James runs private camps, clinics and training sessions for offensive lineman ranging from current NFL Players to Youth Football athletes. To date, he has helped 15+ High School Offensive Lineman go on to play college football.
EDUCATION: Bachelors in Exercise Science, Linfield University
