A native to the Portland area, Erik graduated from Canby High School and continued his education and athletic career at Southern Oregon University where he played football. After transferring to Oregon State, Erik joined the OSU Sports Performance staff where he worked with several sports including: football, basketball, wrestling, softball, soccer, gymnastics, and crew. Along with coaching, Erik competed in Olympic Weightlifting earning and maintaining National Level status for multiple years. Erik obtained his Bachelors of Science as well as his Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Certification while at Oregon State. Highly sought after for training by Pro, College, and NW Elite athletes Erik's training philosophy takes a holistic approach to athlete development, enhancing biological qualities to the necessary levels for an athlete's specific sport(s), while simultaneously reducing the chance of injury. Erik is also the Internship Coordinator for EForce, helping future coaches gain vital practical experience and knowledge needed to excel in the world of fitness and sports performance coaching. In addition to both coaching athletes and mentoring future coaches, Erik develops, oversees, and implements all training and staff continuing education for both Sports Performance and General Fitness.
